It is with great pleasure that the CPDJA formally welcomes Steve Bourguignon to the Executive Committee level of association management.
Steve has been the RTL for the Ottawa Region for the past year and a half and also played a huge role in helping us set up the insurance program changes we've made over the past 8 months. Steve is a man with more ideas than time and will make an incredible contribution to the Executive Committee level of CPDJA management. If you don't really know Steve, here's a little more about him...
Steve got involved in DJing in 1982 when a friend of his who owned 2J's Music Machine asked for his help. That request eventually led to Steve taking over the entire company, which he still operates under the same name today.
In the years that followed, Steve joined the Canadian Disc Jockey Association (CDJA) and with some hard work, he was able to bring a CJDA chapter back to the Ottawa area. Over the next number of years, Steve earned the confidence and trust of his peers across the association as he was trusted with not only being Ottawa Chapter President, but also the CDJA Eastern Vice-President.
In 2017, Steve moved his efforts here to the Canadian Professional Disc Jockey Association (CPDJA).  Steve was trusted with an appointment as Regional Team Leader for the Ottawa Region of the CPDJA and in his first year at the job, he led his region to receiving the Region of the Year Award. Steve has also served on the CPDJA insurance committee, bringing his many years of insurance experience to the table (the Song of the Summer was also his idea) and he will continue to bring new ideas and his years of industry knowledge to the CPDJA Executive Committee, the association's most senior level of management.
For decades, Steve has been a model citizen in the DJ industry and we are so very proud of what he has accomplished.  We are excited to see what he has yet to accomplish for the industry he loves so much, at this new level within our association.
The entire leadership team at the CPDJA looks forward to continued success working with Steve!
