Chris Briscoe has been a fixture on the Canadian Music Scene as a musician, dj event consultant and promoter for over 30 years. He has shared the stage with Jimmy Eat World, Finger 11, Dekoze, Manzone and Strong, Mark Oliver, The Tragically Hip, Colin James, Jim Cuddy and Big Sugar. Promoted for Danko Jones, Great Big Sea, Frank Black, Henry Rollins, Tegan and Sara, Choclair, Yves LaRock, Kardinal Offishall, and Metric just to name a few. He has a musicians approach to mixing beat and genres.
Born in England and lived with extended family in California before emigrating to Canada. This multi-talented musician grew up listening to the sounds of Motown, Funk, Soul, Latin rhythms & Rock which has become the musical backdrop of his musical career. The original owner/operator of The Casbah Nightclub, with the experience as a programming manager, promoter, sound man, event co-ordinator, musician and DJ.
Chris received a Recognition Award for Entrepreneurship in the Arts for his contributions to the City of Hamilton's Arts community.
